Ah
nostalgia eh? Who could be without it?
This is a place where I will put anything
you write about the school. (No matter that it is)
On the left are some articles to poke you
into remembering. Here is an article by me.

I remember the chess. On sundays you
were allowed to take one of the chess sets to the library to play against
someone. (Those weird plastic ones that all fit together to make a
tube)
Remember what happened if you lost a bit?
I bet you do, if you did lose a piece.
Hurt didn't it.

Assembly, remember it? Remember
having to polish your shoes to a shine on a morning before line up?
Remember what happened if they weren't shiny enough? (Sigh)
They did the BIG punishments in
assembly. In you were in big trouble, Manifold would go and get you
about half way though, and you would be flogged in front of the entire
school. I imagine that it was quite psychologically damaging.
Imagine if they did that to YOUR kids in their schools today. What
would you have to say about that?
Do you remember what you got flogged
with? I can list several by teacher.
Patrick Manifold:
A rubber plimsol
A training shoe
A rugby boot
Mr Burton:
A running shoe, a plimsol and a boat oar
(honestly).
Mr Boswell:
A split cane
I bet you remember now eh.
When did you get your first flogging?
I was 7. How old were you?
Probably the same if you were there as a junior.

This is a good one:
I remember being in the boys Dorm one
night, and we were talking (MASSIVE CRIME) after lights out.
Manifold appeared, and demanded a slipped to give 6 of the best to
everyone. The first one to deliver a slipper only got 4.
There were no friends when you were in that
situation. I remember that was the day that I first heard 'Video
Killed the Radio Star' on a radio.
ooOOoo
How old were you when you did your first
Cross Country? Probably about 6 or 7? I bet you were.
I bet you couldn't do it now either.
ooOOoo
Do you remember standing outside the
staffroom waiting for punishment?
ooOOoo
Have you noticed there were a lot of
punishments at DHS. I wonder why that was?
